There’s a very good reason that I need a good grooming product
designed to remove mud and dirt, and here’s why.
Foster, like all my boys, is a bully-breed dog which means, among many other things, he loves going outside and rolling in dirt, digging for rocks and eating mud. This also means he comes back inside filthy, leaving muddy foot prints on the floor as he makes his way to the couch where he rubs himself clean.

When I heard that Bayer® offers Skin Cleansing Wipes as part of its ExpertCare® line of grooming and skincare, I skipped all the way to PetSmart®. I had recently tried their Probiotic Chews and their Ear Cleansing Rinse, so I knew these wipes were from a company I trusted. If these wipes worked, my life was instantly going to improve.
When I bought the Skin Cleansing Wipes, I knew it wouldn’t be long before I had the perfect opportunity to test them out. This past weekend, it happened.
While at the dog park, Foster started pawing at the ground, then he stuck his nose deep into the dirt and huffed loudly. Dirt started billowing up, forming a cloud around his face. Inspired, he started pushing his face around then threw himself down and began to roll.
He rolled this way, then that. He jumped up on his feet, proudly, then threw himself down again and rolled around some more. He rolled for a good ten minutes, oblivious to my watchful camera, pibbling himself into a frenzy. No longer white, he shook off the loose dirt but his transformation was complete; he was now a black and gray dog. White deaf dog dreams do come true!
Such is life with white bully dogs, and frankly, I’m okay with it. I don’t really mind a dirty dog, but I do object to him spreading dirt and mud throughout the house. With four dogs weighing well over 300 pounds, I have enough dog hair to manage without having to contend with mountains of dirt as well.
Why Am I Sharing This Pet Parent Life Hack?
Bayer’s Skin Cleansing Wipes are like baby wipes for your dirty deaf dog. They come in a convenient, resealable travel-size package which fits perfectly in the storage pouch of Edison’s and Foster’s deaf dog vest. I’ve even carried them in my pants pocket on walks to Starbucks. When we get home, I pull out a couple of wipes and clean their paws, face and, well, any other of their parts that are dirty. Gone are the days of a dirty towel hanging next to the front door. And back door and side door and…
Formulated for the specific skin and coat needs of dogs, these wipes are alcohol-free which allows me to clean without drying their skin. These Skin Cleansing Wipes, available exclusively at PetSmart and PetSmart.com line are making my life easier. My boys still eat mud every chance they get but they no longer leave evidence on my couch!
I’m thrilled to have Bayer® ExpertCare® Skin Cleansing Wipes in my arsenal to prevent a pack of dirty dogs from destroying my couch. How do you keep your couch clean with dogs in the home? Have you tried these skin cleaning wipes?
Mud + Dogs = FUN! I always have wipes on hand for just such occasions. I will have to pick up the Bayer wipes on my next PetSmart run. ☺
Oh my goodness! Looks like they are good enough to get BIG jobs done. What a blast you had at the park. Glad your couch was saved! I’ll have to check out these wipes. N.A.S.H.A. likes to roll in the dirt to dry off after a swim in our pool. Hmmmm…
Great post, I never even thought of this just to wipe Mary’s paws after a walk. With all the rain we have had in Florida lately (it’s not rainy season Mother Nature) the mud was piling up. This is a terrific idea. Clean paw and no washing the mud tracked in daily. Your a life saver Bernard!
I have to get these wipes. If your dog benefits from them, I know my cocker will, too!
