We’re close to settling on a name for the Little Deaf One. It’s been challenging to find one that fits him, honors his deafness and fits in with our other dog’s names. Though we haven’t decided yet if we are going to adopt him, the discussions are going smoothly and, if we do, we’d like the name to work with Darwin, Galileo and Edison.
I do apologize for the lack of substantive posts lately, but caring for six dogs- three owned, three fosters, three adult, three puppy, four hearing & two deaf- has severely and negatively impacted my pool of free time.
I can tell you his training is going well. Unfortunately, Edison’s adolescent brain recently decided that rebellion is the road to the Promised Land of Bacon & Bully Sticks. The good thing is that he is resisting the same commands I am teaching the Little Deaf One, so I can deal with both issues at the same time.
I received a request to post a video of his hand sign training from reader. I hope to post this in a few days. The get this on video, I need a second set of hands, and you know all about my husband’s travel schedule. Maybe this weekend Ill get one up.
I do love comments, questions and requests, so please feel free to send them.
