We’re thrilled to let you know that we’ve been invited to attend the
Purina® #BetterWithPets Summit in New York next week!
If you’re not familiar with the Better With Pets Summit, it is an annual event organized and sponsored by Purina. In their words, they “bring together some of the brightest minds in the pet realm to inspire a world where people and pets share happy and fulfilling lives together”. I’m not convinced that I qualify as a bright-minded person, but what the hey, I’ll take the compliment!
This clip from last year’s summit captures perfectly
just why I’m thrilled to be invited to attend this year!
Two paws up for keeping survivors of domestic abuse together with their pets!
The Summit takes place every year in New York City and this year’s event will take place at the Brooklyn Expo Center on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
The theme of this year’s Summit is Emotional Wellness, with all the discussions and events focused on some of the ways that pets bring joy to our lives and improve the quality of our lives in the process. It’s a symbiotic relationship, don’t you think, the relationship between a dog and his boy? They give us as much as we give them if not more.
There are three scheduled panel discussions with each one centered on a different aspect of the human-animal bond, but the one I’m most excited about is “Stress, Our Pets, and Us”, moderated by the phenomenal Dr. Marty Becker! I can see a celebrity photobomb selfie in my future. I apologize in advance, Dr. Becker!
Not only will I have an opportunity to learn from experts across many fields, including animal behaviorists, entrepreneurs, social media strategists and even an anthrozoologist, I will be sitting beside some of the best pet bloggers and animal advocates, people I am honored to call friends.
I’ll be sharing live updates throughout the summit, so stay tuned to my social channels which you can find here:

Looking forward to your updates. It really sounds amazing. And of course, autumn is my favorite time in NYC so enjoy!
I’m really excited Pip! And I live the theme of this year’s summit, Emotional Wellness. That’s right up my alley.
